Cretcher Heartland Announces Relocation to Overland Park

Overland Park Economic Development Council – May 14, 2008 – Cretcher Heartland, an independent insurance agency and employee benefits provider, announced plans to locate its headquarters in Overland Park, Ks.Cretcher Heartland is leasing space at 4551 W. 107th Street, recognized by many as the former headquarters of Applebee’s. Company officials say they will occupy the top floor of the building, leasing approximately 21,000 square feet. The company is bringing 83 jobs to Overland Park.

“The No. 1 factor was visibility,” Steve Nicholson, president said about the former Applebee’s building. “That area is the business center of Kansas City on the south side. It’s closer to our insurance markets and the representatives we do business with.”

“Cretcher Heartland’s selection of Overland Park for its new headquarters location confirms that Overland Park is a premier location for quality companies, particularly those in the financial services and insurance industries,” said Gary Sherrer, Senior Vice President of the Overland Park Economic Development Council.

Cretcher Heartland is the result of a recent merger between Cretcher Lynch and Heartland Employee Benefits that merged on January 1.
